Nina Swidler started her research program on Balochistan in 1963, she observed a prominent Sardar conducting court proceedings on his lawn, an experience which led to her dissertation on tribal organization and leadership. Her most significant work was over history and politics in Balochistan and is the culmination of a life spent studying the people and culture of Balochistan. Agent to Governor General Records (AGG)
These records deal with the activities of the agent to governor general in Balochistan in the newly created Balochistan agency established in 1877. the records of the AGG are further divided into Essential Records (1862-1945) and General Records (1831-1947).
